Welcome to WA DAWGS, a podcast dedicated to sports betting and the famous Westgate Supercontest, Circa Millions and Circa Survivor football contests. Plus, because we live in Washington we have entered the first ever Las Vegas style point spread contest in Washington state, Beat the Point Spread Pigskin Challenge at Snoqualmie Casino. 

Who We Are:

We are Rob and Val. A married couple that love being your typical recreational sports bettor. Recreational, because we certainly are not breaking the bank with our bets. But we enjoy handicapping games and coming up with any edge that can help with sports betting. We don’t claim to be perfect. But we have been betting on sports for almost 20 years. 

Why WA DAWGS?

 Well we lived in Las Vegas for 14 years. When I (Val) first moved to Vegas in 2004, I didn’t have a clue about football, what a first down was, even how teams got to the super bowl. My family was never involved in sports and I wasn’t really into team sports. I was much more an academic than a coordinated athlete growing up. Until, I was introduced to a 2$ (yes, a little two dollar) parley. I could pick ten teams for 2 bucks with the possibility of winning thousands of dollars?? From that tiny little parley, my learning curve progressed leaps and bounds. While I never won a ten-timer, I have won a few 5s and 6s.

We both enjoy working on the stats for teams and coming up with our own power rankings and ratings.

Rob, he is like a football dictionary, enclycopia, and google search wrapped into one. He knows all the team players, what schools they played for. He knows all the stats and all the coaches and where they have coached. He played football and hockey since a little boy. Adding action to a game he loves makes these contests exciting. 

Again, Why WA DAWGS? 

We moved from Las Vegas to Washington state in 2017. But we got roots in Washington. We met in 2001 in Washington and I am a University of Washington alumni (1996). So I can proudly say, GO DAWGS! Which UW football is going to be awesome this year.
